Ali Steele - 1:00pm

Ali Steele sings affirmations about life and “grown folks’ business,” accompanied by a guitarist, pianist and/or background singers. Ali always shows up as his authentic, light-filled self. Audiences can also expect a bit of playfulness. His knowledge of African culture, race theory and music lend depth to the songs, as do personal experiences.

Joe Sig Hip Hop Artist -2:00pm

Joe Sig is a rap recording artist based in Charlotte with 15 years of MC experience

He has released 10 albums and 3 EPs to the public. He’s worked alongside underground artist such as Josiah the Gift and battle rap legend Chayna Asley.

Cassandra O'Neil & Friends - 3:00pm

Cassandra O’Neal is a Minister of the Gospel and original Charlottean is now known as an International Trilingual Gospel Recording Artist whose music had been played over the airwaves in the US, South America, the UK and Canada. She’s a Singer, Songwriter, Author and Worship Pastor at Camino Church in Charlotte. Three words that sum up Cassandra O’Neal…captivating, inspiring and…unforgettable.

Akya has accomplished so much on her journey so far. Akya has become an author having self-published her first book “Single Moms Pray.” She is an Aveda trained hair stylist, professionally trained makeup artist and licensed cosmologist. She is an experienced public speaker, inspirational vocalist with a new single out called, “I Can’t Lose,” and actress who has toured the East coast and Canada. Akya’s dream is to inspire others to face their fears and make their dreams become reality. She knows that everything they need they already have. 2× Award winner Queen City Awards for Female Gospel artist of the year 4× Nominated 4 different categories Female Urban Gospel Artist Praise Factor Radio show Hinesville GA.

MJ Footworkz - 5:00pm

For 45 years, Kevin has been busy perfecting his craft and learning various dance styles like African, Jazz, Salsa and Tap. His own style of dance is influenced and inspired by Boogaloo Shrimp, Chris Brown, Channing Tatum, Sammy Davis, Jr., James Brown, Janet Jackson, Levelle Smith Jr, Michael Jackson, Pavan Thimmiah, Shabba Doo, and Usher. He has danced for the stars from the East Coast to the West Coast. He has opened up for Busta Brown Summer Festival, CIAA Half-Time Show (1998), Doug E. Fresh, Kid n’Play, Ki Ki Sheppard (Tribute to Roger Troutman), N-Tyce, Outkast and Wu-Tang Clan. He has auditioned for America’s Got Talent (2014) and Showtime at the Apollo (2015), Beyonce World Tour (2006), 102 Jamz Crew and Mr. Bill Productions.

Dionne D. Hunter - 5:30pm

Dionne D. Hunter is a highly accomplished author, poet, spoken word artist, event curator, United States Navy veteran, mother of two and grandmother of four. One of Ms. Hunter's notable works is a short story titled "I am a Dahomey Warrior!" which is available in both paperback and audiobook formats and has received an impressive rating of 4.9 out of five stars from both listeners and readers.

Blackhawk Quintet - 6:00pm

The Blackhawk Quintet is a project co-led by Elijah Freeman (sax) and Ariel Mejia (trumpet). Their goal is to bring authentic hard bop to the Charlotte area and beyond. Mejia and Freeman have worked closely together performing and curating arrangements of their own originals as well as bringing to light some of the lesser-known standards and compositions from the jazz realm, specifically the hard-bop style.
